AEON HOUSE Company ("we", "us"), operating the Spotlight Studio creator network from Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law ("PDPL") and other applicable regulations. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your information.
The data controller responsible for your personal data is AEON HOUSE Company, headquartered in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, operating the Spotlight Studio website (spotlightstudio.live) and creator program. When you apply to the Spotlight Studio creator program, we collect the information you provide directly in the application form, which may include: your full name; nationality; national ID or residency number; country of residence; TikTok handle; email address; WhatsApp number; preferred content category; follower and average viewer figures; Mawthooq verification status and, optionally, a copy of your Mawthooq verification document; and your free-text reason for joining. We also automatically collect limited technical data when you visit our website (IP address, browser user-agent, referrer, pages visited, and an interaction timestamp) for security and analytics purposes.
We use your personal data for the following purposes: (a) to evaluate your application and decide whether to invite you into the creator program; (b) to contact you about your application via email or WhatsApp; (c) to verify your identity and Mawthooq status where applicable; (d) to onboard accepted creators and coordinate ongoing creator support; (e) to operate, secure, and improve our website; (f) to comply with applicable Saudi Arabian laws, including any reporting or record-keeping obligations; and (g) to defend our legal rights where necessary. We will not use your data for any purpose materially incompatible with these, and we will not sell your personal data.
We process your personal data on the basis of: (a) your explicit consent given when you submit the application form and tick the consent checkbox; (b) the necessity to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (i.e., evaluating your application); (c) our legitimate interests in operating and securing our website and creator network; and (d) compliance with our legal obligations under Saudi Arabian law. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting creators@spotlightstudio.live; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
We share your personal data only with a limited number of parties, and only when necessary: (a) Service providers that operate parts of our infrastructure under contract — currently Cloudflare (website hosting and security) and Google LLC (form intake via Google Apps Script, Google Sheets, Google Drive for the optional Mawthooq document, and email delivery), all of whom are bound by confidentiality obligations; (b) The TikTok platform and TikTok Pte. Ltd. team where required to coordinate your participation as a TikTok LIVE creator, after your acceptance and only with relevant information; (c) Competent Saudi Arabian authorities when we are required to disclose by law, court order, or to defend our legal rights. We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
Some of our service providers (e.g., Cloudflare, Google) may process your data on servers located outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Where this is the case, we ensure such transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards consistent with PDPL requirements, including contractual data protection clauses and, where applicable, the controls required under the PDPL and its implementing regulations for cross-border data transfers.
We keep applicant data for as long as needed to evaluate your application and, if accepted, throughout the duration of our creator relationship and for a reasonable period afterwards to handle legal, accounting, or compliance matters. Declined applications are typically retained for up to twelve (12) months for fraud prevention and audit purposes and then deleted or anonymized. Server access logs are kept for a maximum of ninety (90) days for security purposes.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction — including TLS encryption in transit, access controls on the application backend, restricted permissions on the Google Workspace receiving the submissions, and physical and operational controls at our vendor partners. No internet transmission or storage system is, however, completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but we work hard to keep your data safe.
Under the Saudi PDPL, you have the right to: (a) be informed of how your data is processed; (b) access the personal data we hold about you; (c) request correction of inaccurate data; (d) request deletion of your data where the legal basis no longer applies; (e) withdraw consent previously given; and (f) lodge a complaint with the Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA) if you believe your rights have been violated. To exercise any of these rights, please email us at creators@spotlightstudio.live. We will respond within the timeframes required by the PDPL.
The Services are intended for users who are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you become aware that a child has provided personal data to us, please contact creators@spotlightstudio.live so we can promptly delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, will provide additional notice through the website or, where appropriate, by direct communication.
